If you're one of those people whose mom is like a best friend, then you probably have the perfect event already planned out, but the rest of us may need a little help when it comes to what mom might like best. Your mom has all the energy in the world, so organizing a lazy brunch with a few family members in attendance probably isn't going to light her fire. Your mom may not be frilly or especially demonstrative, but deep down, she loves for the entire family to gather together to share in the good times. Cancer is the most nurturing and family-centered mother of all the signs, so your mom will be the happiest of them all if she's surrounded by family the entire day. The great thing about a Scorpio mom is her loyalty, so make sure you return the favor by not planning any kind of surprise get-together she's sure to loathe. The best way to spend the day with your Scorpio mom is ideally just the two of you, any siblings you have, and/or her very closest friends. Your Capricorn mom probably doesn't splurge much, but it isn't because she doesn't like nice things. It's most likely because she's busy putting away money to ensure a stable future for the family. This is your perfect chance to reward all her hard work and frugality with something she would never buy for herself. Don't break the bank - your mom appreciates the value of a dollar and truly believes that it's the thought behind the gift that counts.  Your mom probably seems as though she has the weight of the world on her shoulders, and at times she does.
